A Truly Unique Dining Experience First, the menu was exciting, filled with dishes I had never even heard of, let alone tried. As a keen traveler and food lover, this thrilled me; I always try to eat as authentically as possible. I know this can be daunting for many, but the chef and owner clearly understands this too — he personally introduced himself and brought out a tray showcasing the meze dishes. He described each one and answered all our questions. Being able to see the dishes before choosing was incredibly helpful. When the actual dishes arrived, they were even better than we could have imagined. One dish, ‘topik,’ stood out particularly. The owner almost discouraged us from trying it, explaining it was both sweet and savoury and very unusual to the typical British palate — which only made me want it more! I’m so glad I did: it was a beautiful pie, with a crusty outer layer made from chickpea flour and tahini, encasing a deliciously sweet caramelized onion filling, dusted with cinnamon and pine nuts. Other standouts included the ‘Holy Trinity’ and the ‘Torte Sarma,’ while my sweet-toothed partner adored the dessert ‘Kazandibi.’ The coffee bean martini and ‘Mangleberry Mocktail’ were also delicious and well worth a mention. Please, give this restaurant a try! Beyond the amazing food, the welcome we received was wonderful — it genuinely felt like being invited into a Turkish home. The venue is just off the main drag in Didsbury Village, which is a shame because it doesn’t get the footfall of places around the corner or on nearby Burton Road. Even more reason to seek it out, I think. I don’t leave reviews often, but I was genuinely struck by the hospitality, the food, and the owner’s obvious love and passion for making sure every guest has a great experience.

I visited here in March with a friend who had come to stay. We popped in for lunch. There are so many lovely and unusual offerings on the menu that it is great that the chef/owner Max brings out a tray with many of the items, so you have an idea of what you are ordering. Everything was so tasty. We ordered a bottle of white wine and he came to the table with 2 glasses which he said were complimentary whilst he chilled our bottle. Such a lovely touch. Nothing is too much for him and the experience was everything. Do visit! Next time, based on other reviews, I'll be trying a cocktail or 2!

Very nice environment and customer service! Classy decorations and table setting. The lady and the chef were very welcoming, considerate and warm. They even gave us a free dish to try as well. It’s an amazing experience. By the way, the music taste in the store is absolutely incredible! Definitely will come again!

Oh my. The food here is absolutely wonderful! As we understood it is a new restaurant (since there are not many reviews on Google) We really enjoyed the vegetarian and vegan options. Every dish had thoughtful touches that made it healthier and more nutritious. I personally tried 6-7 different food (at first, I was taking pictures to share, but after a while, I got so caught up in the enjoyment that I completely forgot to keep taking photos) and each one was a unique gastronomic adventure. The presentation of dishes were elegant. And the cocktails? Let me just say, we’re cocktail people. We planned to try two (one for each) but ended up going for four after the first two impressed us so much! The one with honey is simply amazing—highly recommended if you enjoy sweet cocktails. I think they may consider to change the place to a cocktail bar as well. Just kidding, please don’t, while the cocktails were amazing, the food was truly wonderful, and I wouldn’t want to miss out on the food!

Excellent location. Excellent food. Excellent service. I've driven past this place many times since it opened and not really know what it was all about. But after visiting with my family last week, I now know that it's one of the most interesting and unique new restaurants to open in recent years, not just in Didsbury, but in the whole of Manchester. It's a small dish concept and every one is superb. Many of the dishes are vegan but you can still find chicken, sea bass, pork and lamb in the menu. Max or his mum will greet you and make you feel welcome then, once you're settled with a small glass of Turkish tea, he'll introduce the selection of small plates available and talk you through each dish before you order so you know exactly what to expect. The location, decor and music all work together wonderfully to create a cosy cosmopolitan atmosphere that's like something you'd find in Barcelona or Istanbul. If only we had the weather they have this place would be heaving every weekend! My family and I loved every mouthful, even the ones with very bold and punchy flavours. There isn't a kids menu but some of the dishes - like the lollipop chicken - went down just as well as the usual nuggets, chips and beans. There's a good selection of drinks for every taste. I will be returning with anyone I know who appreciates good food and just how much time and dedication it takes to produce something of this standard. Thank you Max for giving us an unforgettable experience

Last minute booking for me and a friend. Very polite service and family run. The owner is genuinely passionate for his food and alcohol menu. The take on an old fashioned could have been a bit stonger but was tasty. The mescal drink was lovely. Not cheap but a fair price I would say. The only let down was the quince desert which was rather chewy. Nice ambience and extremely attentive service.
